So!  The shop WAS once again caught up, and now, no internet service again.  :o(

I apologize 1000X, and thank you so much for your patience.  We are literally at the mercy of AT&T until the problem's resolved.  My sister's heartrate was intricately monitored at the hospital recently via wireless connection, and this very basic technical problem has been impossible.  I just don't get it.  :o(

All recent orders have been shipped though.  How exciting it will be for me to have my computer back, especially so we can add new things that are waiting to be found by you!  Because I take most of the photos for my mom's shop, her inventory is unfortunately also in limbo....   We'll keep you posted~

When you do find new things at her shop soon ("net56ted" at Etsy), you will still be purchasing from one of the very best moms in the world.  {{{{{HUGS}}}}} to her.

She often has very similar cuteness in her shop, check it out.  Of course we've been able to combine shipping fees for you, when ordering from both our shops. Refunds are given before your package is sent out.  A penny saved is a penny earned!

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts~
^_^
XXOXOXO

12/01/07:  International shipping now available.  Please contact us to find out the options for your country.

PLEASE NOTE:  Just so you don't miss something recently added, we will have a separate category marked "New" as a holding area for at least a week (before we remove them to their permanent category).

Through the years, it's easy to find volumes of documentation that illustrate Japan's teeny-tiny detailed, brilliantly colorful artistry, and their legendary style setting in everything.  I was lucky to discover this on my own after many years of hunting/collecting (anywhere from flea markets miles from home, to eBay at midnight).

One day I simply noticed just how many "Made In Japan" labels (preferably blue paper!) were on all my favorite things.  I dreamed of a small webshop, one that would yield more than just a few MIJ darlings per year.  We are crazy about what we've sold by designer Ayumi Uyama.  She has been so kind, and she is as cute as her creations.

Japanese Sweet Shop will always be on a quest for special vintage Japanese items, along with beautiful, cute, kawaii-style stuff because they just seem to go together.  Our dream is to keep the inventory in short supply because you didn't warn your friends in time.......  jk.

Actually, our real dream is to keep stocking the sweetest stuff from Japan (mostly), whether it's brand new and adorable, or darling treasures from the charming past.

Thanks to DH, family, and Kayo for getting me here~
