Nice To Meet You
I've always been a legendary artist in my own mind, hee hee, especially never wanting to have what everyone else has, and the very best husband in the world indulges my SAHM status so I can be just that. Matt and Ben are loved to pieces, but almost on their own now, sniff sniff. When some parents can't wait for their kids to grow up, I'd prefer that they get married one day and just move back in. ^_^
The Fine Print
We can't imagine being a bricks-and-mortar business at this point, mostly for the commitment to inflexible hours alone. Because we aren't though, it's your good fortune to be able to shop at any hour, not to mention buying from a collector after your own heart. Many items are stashed deeeeeeply after so many years of collecting, or I'm having a difficult time parting with them, so it never hurts to ask about availability of other quantities/similar style.
E-mail is checked often, so inquiries are handled promptly.
Returns are probably not likely to occur, due to our customer care standards, but mostly because you'd never dream of giving up what you scored here! If there is an error in your shipment though, or if you are unexpectedly disappointed, our lives are happy because of the Golden Rule, and we will make things right. Like every shop that wants to continue, we aim to have buyers return; we want to know our customers well.
SHIPPING: We've shopped online for years, so clean and proper packaging for the trip to your house is of utmost importance to us too. Even if it were to fall from a 2-story building along the way, your package should still arrive bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, due to many years of practice with padding and packaging. Paypal is our preferred method of payment, but please contact us if you need to pay in another way, and we are sure we can work it out. Within the USA, unless USPS Priority is specifically requested, smaller and lightweight packages are shipped First Class USPS. Packages exceeding 13 ounces are generally shipped USPS Priority, and insurance on all packages is required for totals over $50.00. Shipping is 15% of items total, plus $2.00, which means handling fees are minimal, only helping us to defray the cost of keeping our inventory always special. For example, a within-USA purchase of $25.00 would cost $5.75 in shipping; a similar order of $60.00 would cost $11.00, and so on. For exception to this, read on.
Shipping overpayment: We love to refund any overpayment for shipping when this formula indicates a large discrepancy in actual fees. If you use our shopping cart more than once before your packages are actually mailed out, we do not retain multiple fees, but will refund you as soon as possible, to reflect only one use of the shopping cart.
International shipping: We use the least expensive method possible for international orders, unless you request otherwise. Those fees are actual shipping costs only, plus $5.00 handling per order.
Does Anybody Check References Anymore?
As stated that we, too, buy online often, I'm not sure we've ever liked the part about no face behind the purchase. Sometimes it feels risky. A brief check of our seller history as "japanesesweetshop" on eBay will give you some idea of our integrity and standards. Click on the number in parenthesis after "japanesesweetshop", and you'll often find comments that indicate these above-average standards.
